Finally the wait is over! iPad 2 is here to put an end to all the endless rumors and reports. As already announced Apple has unveiled iPad 2 on March 2nd at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. As expected iPad 2 is thinner and lighter in design, sports a dual core A5 processor, and has a front facing camera for FaceTime video chat on iPad 2. And yes, a white iPad 2 is very much a reality!

9.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology.
1024-by-768 px resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi).
iPad 2 New Features & Specs: CPU & Graphics
1GHz dual core A5 processor.
The CPU is 2 times faster than that of the A4 chip in iPad and the graphics in iPad 2 is up to 9 times faster.
iPad 2 New Features & Specs: Thinner & Lighter Design
As expected iPad 2 is much thinner and lighter than it's predecessor. The thickness has been reduced by about 33% from 13.4 mm to 8.8 mm. This is even thinner than your iPhone 4 which is around 9.3 mm in thickness.
The weight too reduces by 15% from 1.5 pounds for the original iPad to 1.3 pounds for the latest one. This is despite addition of some iPad 2 new features such as the FaceTime for iPad 2 and the back HD Camera, the Gyroscope etc.

Back Camera – 720p HD video recording, 5x digital zoom, 30 fps.
Front Camera/ FaceTime Camera – iPad 2 has a front facing camera in addition to the back one which was present in iPad. The FaceTime camera is VGA with 30 fps (frames per second).

iPad 2 offers the same 10 hour battery life for surfing the web on WiFi, watching video, and listening to music as iPad.

iPad 2 comes in both WiFi and WiFi + 3G versions. It also supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.
