It's the announcement iPad lovers have been waiting for. At a time when it seems like a new tablet is rolling out every week, finally a reported date on when we might here more about the anticipated iPad 2. Per Boy Genius Report, Apple is expected to announce more details about the device on March 2nd. BGR quotes a Wall Street Journal article which goes on to quote Reuters. It's not clear whether Steve Jobs will make an appearance. He is currently on medical leave from Apple.

Well, it may not be the "new" Netflix but the online retail giant is starting to get into the online video streaming business. Actually, they are already there (they have 90,000 iPad 2 movies and shows to rent). But now the company is allowing free streaming of 5,000 iPad 2 movies and TV shows to Amazon Prime subscribers. It's a service that costs $79 per year but you also get free 2 day shipping on many items in the Amazon store. Daily Finance points out an interesting trend. Last year movies for iPad rental sale nationwide were around $2.5 billion dollars. Compare that to 2005, where sales came in around $1 billion dollars. But despite that, rentals of Blu-Ray discs and DVD's are down $3 billion ($16 billion now from $19 billion in 2005). Maybe Amazon sees a trend.
