How to add video to iPad so that you can watch them on your iPad. First you have to ensure the video is in one of the iPad formats supported, MPEG-4 or MP4. The videos you can purchase via iTunes are all in these formats. If you have another format like AVI or WMV you wish to use, it has to be converted to MPEG-4 or MP4 first.

Step 1: Need a Converter

Step 2: Load Videos to Convert
Click "Open file" button to load the videos you want to add to your iPad. You can preview the added videos or remove it.

Step 3: Convert Video to iPad
Select Apple iPad MPEG-4 Movie from "Profile" drop down list. You can also set the video and audio parameters. Then click "Convert" button to start conversion.

Launch iTunes, go to menu "File > Add File to Library" to import target movie from output folder into iTunes; or just drag and drop the movie into iTunes.

There are many ways to transfer converted video to iPad through iTunes after it's connected with your computer via USB cable.
